What are the options for PMU on the lips?

Lip Blush

With a Lip Blush I apply a soft color to the lip skin, comparable to a colored lip balm. The lip line is perfected and is completely symmetrical. This line can be applied either tightly or softly. Just like the color, this is done in consultation with you… The photo above is a healed result.

Full Lips

With a Full lips technique, your lips are completely colored, comparable to a lipstick color. I take into account your own lip color but also your favorite lipstick color. Here too, the lip liner is placed at the extreme of your natural lip line so that your lips appear optically fuller and are completely symmetrical. The photo above is a healed result.

The treatment

During the consult I look at your lips and face. I analyze the shape of your lips and the corresponding desired pigment color. Then I apply concealer to your lips to create the perfect shape. This way you can already see the results after the treatment. If you are not completely satisfied with this result, I can easily adjust it. I repeat this until you are 100% satisfied.

After this I start with the actual PMU treatment. After your first treatment you will certainly see a beautiful result, but two treatments are always needed, 6 – 8 weeks apart. The skin needs time to heal. After the treatment, we will discuss the follow-up treatment in detail together.

Your lips may feel a little tight and swelling after a treatment, which can last up to 24 hours. Don’t worry about this because it is part of the healing process.

What should you pay attention to?

After the treatment, the color is a lot darker for the first few days than the color will be after healing. Small scabs and skin will also appear on your lips in the first few days after treatment. Don’t try to have a fun party planned these days! The lips should remain dry for 72 hours. During these 3 days, drink through a straw, do not eat too spicy food, do not bite off food but cut small pieces and place them in your mouth. You can apply it to your lips as often as you want. Your lips will be fully recovered between 6-8 days. Good follow-up treatment is essential for good healing. I will tell you about this in detail during the intake interview and provide you with documentation after the treatment. This way you can read all the information at your leisure. The pigments fade over time. I therefore recommend that you return approximately every 2 – 3 years for a touch-up (refresher treatment). If you wait too long, your beautifully pigmented lips will fade considerably over time.

Do you ever have a cold sore? Then read on.

Cold sores are a virus that we all carry, but which is activated in some and not in others. Do you ever or very occasionally have a cold sore? Then there is a small chance of 20% that you will get a cold sore after this treatment. You can take the nutritional supplement L-Lysine and Vitamin C 14 days before and 7 days afterwards to support resistance.

If you have a cold sore 1-3 times a year, I recommend requesting a recipe of Aciclovir from your doctor in advance. This medicine supports resistance and ensures that the virus does not activate. Do you have cold sores more than 3 times a year? Then I unfortunately advise against this treatment. A cold sore will then 90% certainly occur and, in addition to being very annoying, the color of the PMU will repel as a whole.
